Big Upgrade for the Grandstream GXE502x

Grandstream has announced a much improved firmware for their IP PBX product line.  The new firmware features an improved auto attendant, an improved web configuration interface and one-button provisioning.

Specific enhancements listed include:

  • Support for dial plans through an intuitive graphic configuration interface.  Users can create multiple call routing profiles and powerful yet flexible rules for any incoming or outgoing calls through either SIP or PSTN trunks based on source, destination, time, line port, etc., as easy as click-and-choose. There is no script programming involved.
  • An improved auto attendant to allow all incoming calls from all trunks to be routed to multiple auto attendant voice menus.
  • A polished web configuration interface.
  • Improved conference control to call out/invite/mute/delete any participant from within a conference.
  • Busy Lamp Field (BLF) event list support.
  • Improved busy tone detection for various countries.
