The CS55H differs from most wireless headset systems, in that it is designed to be connected directly to an analog telephone line (or FXS port on a VoIP ATA). The advantage of this is that it operates independently of any telephones you have connected. You use your existing telephones to dial, and then pick up the call with the headset, and hang up the other phone. An adapter (included) provides hook/switch control, so no lifter is required, and a two-way RJ11 splitter is also included.
For most business deskphones, the CS55 is a more suitable model.
