This cable kit comes with everything you need to deploy your Polycom SoundPoint IP 300, 301, 500 and 501 phones via standard 802.3af power over ethernet (PoE).

Included is a PoE adapter cable terminating in an RJ45 socket, and a matching ethernet patch cable to extend the reach of your phone.

The patch cable can be replaced with a standard ethernet patch cable of any length within the distance limitations of ethernet communications.

It is important to note that this cable is not required for operation of the phone with it's included power supply (112 volt), nor is this cable required by Polycom SoundPoint IP 600 or 601 phones for power over ethernet. The IP 430, 600 and 601 phones all have built in support for power over ethernet, and do not require this cable.
